LTL Shipping Trucking

LTL Shipping Trucking

Less-than-truckload shipping, often known as less-than-load (LTL), is the movement of cargo that is between the size of a single package and a full truckload. Small packages and goods that can be divided into pieces weighing less than roughly 150 pounds (68 kg) are handled by parcel carriers. Whole semi-trailers are moved by full truckload carriers. Semi-trailers are normally between 26 and 53 feet (7.92 and 16.15 m) long, and to make transportation cost-effective, they need to be loaded with a significant amount of cargo. LTL may refer to either the cargo being transported or the company that does it.
